Article: Why Send Greeting Cards

Specialty Greeting Cards is pleased to provide open credit accounts for our customers seeking to have their accounts reported on a monthly basis to Dun & Bradstreet and Experian Business Credit. We do not require personal guarantees for Corporations or other companies. We believe that companies established as separate business entities should be treated as such. We do require your Federal Identification Number (FEIN) and Dun & Bradstreet number for proper reporting of the credit to the proper agencies.

As business credit is based upon timeliness of payments and total available credit, we offer a simple credit account with very easy payment terms, no interest and monthly reporting of business credit. We are in our 4th year of business and offer greeting cards for businesses to help market their products and services to their customers and clients. We believe we have a product useful to any business and hope to develop an ongoing business relationship.

Our terms and conditions are listed below.

• All initial accounts will have a credit limit of $500.

• Once a client has placed an order for $200 the credit limit will be increased to $2,000.

• Once a client has placed an order for $500 the credit limit will be increased to $5,000

• Initial orders must be placed by fax or mail with authorized signatures.

• There will be no interest or APR applied/charged to the balance of the account

• Payments will be 5 equal payments of the new charges in a month for accounts with credit limits less than $2,000. (For example: if purchases for September equal $100, 5 equal monthly payments of $20 will be due beginning in October. If additional purchases are made in January totaling $150, 5 equal monthly payments of $30 will be due beginning in February. Thus for February the combined monthly payment will be $50 and then $30 for March through June.)

• Payments will be 10 equal payments of the new charges in a month for accounts with a credit limit of $2,000 or more. (For example: if purchases for September equal $550, 10 equal monthly payments of $55 will be due beginning in October. If additional purchases are made in January totaling $300, 10 equal monthly payments of $30 will be due beginning in February. Thus for February through July the combined monthly payment will be $85 and then $30 for August through November.)

• Monthly statements will be mailed (or e-mailed) the first of each month, with payments due the 20th of each month. Lack of receipt of a monthly billing statement in a timely manner will not change the due date as monthly payments are equal and known in advance.

• All accounts will be reported to Dun & Bradstreet and Experian Business Credit the 1st and 20th of each month.

• Only authorized persons can charge amounts to your account

• All payments should be by company check or electronic check.

• Accounts inactive, with no balance for 12 consecutive months, will be considered abandoned and subsequently closed.

• Accounts in default for 3 consecutive months will be charged a 10% delinquency fee and turned over for collections. We do not handle collections in house. The borrower agrees to pay all collection fees charged by the assigned collection agency, in addition to charges due Specialty Greeting Cards.

The most common questions asked are as follows:

1) Why don’t we accept credit cards for payments on credit accounts? As we offer a very lucrative payment plan for credit accounts, with no interest, we cannot absorb the additional fees of credit card processing for monthly payments. We do have a link for credit customers to make online electronic check payments.

2) Why do we require initial orders to be mailed or faxed with an authorized signature? Our experience with this company and with other businesses in the past has shown us it is simply in our best interest to require completed, signed forms for all orders with open credit terms to insure the order was authorized. We are sorry if this causes any undue difficulties. Forms may be faxed, mailed, or scanned and e-mailed. We are happy to answer any questions by telephone, but do require the actual signed order form.

3) May I place an order to increase my credit limit at the same time I submit my application for credit? Yes, your higher credit limit will be reported to the credit bureaus according to our regular reporting schedule on the 1st and 20th of each month.

If you are interested in opening a credit account, simply go to Printable Order Forms page for an application or call us at 800-465-9212 to request a form be faxed to you.
